Job Summary
Lead, manage and mentor a team of CAD Drafters; ensure CAD Team adheres to CP USA standards, providing consistent drawings; generate and revise schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, and physical equipment assembly drawings; analyze production markups and revise drawings to reflect finished products; brainstorm with the CAD Team to improve methods and procedures; coordinate with Project Managers to review upcoming projects and meet timelines; review cost estimates to ensure correct parts are utilized on drawings; may create designs based on contract drawings and specifications; resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions; prepare reports and provide recommendations to management; perform other tasks assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of experience using AutoCAD
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including schematics and electrical product guidelines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to follow direction and procedures
- Ability to work on multiple projects at time
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Detail oriented
