Job Summary
Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for boat hulls, structures, and components, converting conceptual designs into manufacturing-ready technical drawings. Maintain engineering documentation, revision records, and drawing databases while collaborating with production teams to resolve design or fabrication issues. Interpret engineering specifications, assist with prototype development, and ensure drawings meet industry standards and manufacturing tolerances. Support engineering changes, design reviews for manufacturability, and product improvement initiatives. Adhere to company safety and environmental standards, including RCRA waste management practices for hazardous waste generation, handling, labeling, and emergency response. Requires an Associate degree in Drafting or Engineering Technology, CAD software proficiency, and experience with aluminum fabrication processes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field
- Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Technical drawing and visualization skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking

- Prolonged sitting at a workstation
- Occasional visits to the production floor
- Ability to view and analyze detailed drawings and models
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and data entry

- Visual acuity to view screens and read documents
Desired Qualifications
