Job Summary
Create precise technical drawings, schematics, and plans using CAD software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks to convert conceptual designs and rough sketches into dimensionally accurate documents. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications while ensuring all outputs comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine designs, resolve drafting issues, and manage revisions as project requirements change. Maintain detailed documentation of drawings and revisions for quality control and future reference.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate's Degree in Drafting or Related Field
- 2 years of experience in CAD Drafting recreating and applying tolerances to machined or formed parts
- 3D experience
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Familiarity with AutoCAD for floor plans or SolidWorks for mechanical design
- Effective communication skills
- The ability to identify and resolve design and drafting issues
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
- OPT/CPT is not eligible for this role
- Regular attendance required
