Job Summary
Design tasks for assigned H2 & CNG projects, from concept CAD generation through to production release using SolidWorks. Dimension drawings via appropriate GD&T standards and perform volume, area, and measurement calculations. Create and process engineering change orders via the change management system while providing technical support to purchasing, production, customer service, and quality assurance. Participate on 8D problem solving teams when necessary. Maintain high-quality standards and promote the company's Health and Safety culture by reporting unsafe conditions and cooperating with the Joint Health & Safety Committee.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Minimum two years of SolidWorks experience
- GD&T experience
Desired Qualifications
- Product Data Management (PDM) system experience such as SolidWorks EPDM
- Experience with design of high-pressure components/valves/actuators
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 Automotive experience
- Places importance on attention to detail and maintaining high-quality standards
- Capable of working in a pro-active manner with minimal supervision
- Ability to respond to frequent demands in order to meet deadlines
- Good mechanical aptitude and hands on skills
- Effective communication skills & ability to work within a team
- Good organization skills, including task & priority management
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
