Job Summary
CAD Designer to bridge initial structural concepts and production-ready releases for the Node offshore hardware. Will own NX modeling and assembly management, produce complex fabrication and assembly drawings with clear technical rigor, and manage structural documentation for welded steel subassemblies. Coordinate with structural analysts, manufacturing teams, and shop floor technicians; drive release ownership (ECR/ECO) and maintain configuration discipline. Help establish and maintain drawing/modeling standards and templates, and ensure designs are manufacturable for marine service within a PLM workflow (Teamcenter). Focus areas include 3D CAD modeling, drawings, PLM integration, and standards development to accelerate next releases.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or 5+ years relevant professional CAD experience
- Strong professional experience in 3D CAD modeling and drafting
- Knowledge of ASME Y14.100.
- Proven track record in design detailing and documentation of metallic structures, load paths, and large-scale welded assemblies
- Experience releasing welded fabrication packages including weld symbols, inspection callouts, and clear acceptance criteria
- Experience partnering with fabrication shops and iterating drawings based on build feedback
- Extensive CAD experience on Siemens NX and Teamcenter PLM
- Exposure to GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis
