CAD Designer (OM2)

Job Summary
Create and revise CAD drawings for standard conveyor systems, developing layouts using the company's standard product offerings. Support the Sales team by preparing drawings for customer quotations and proposal packages, while maintaining accurate documentation and revision records. Collaborate with Project Coordinators, Sales, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure project requirements are met and resolve design-related issues through critical thinking. Review all drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards, assisting with design modifications and product updates as needed. Organize and manage engineering files and technical records to support continuous improvement efforts in drafting processes.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical reasoning skills
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic mechanical design and drafting principles
- Understanding of CAD standards, drawing practices, and documentation control
- Familiarity with dimensions, tolerances, and mechanical components
- Understanding of engineering and technical drawings

- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment layouts
- General knowledge of conveyor systems or material handling equipment
- Knowledge of business systems or ERP software
- Relevant education, training, or experience
- Previous experience using AutoCAD or similar CAD software
