Job Summary
Design and produce drawings for metal fabrication components within the HVAC industry, ensuring product specifications are met and conducting customer verification approvals. Create and maintain product documentation and bills of material while collaborating with sales staff and customers to develop drawings from sketches, blueprints, and verbal instructions. Work closely with all departments within the plant to guarantee drawing accuracy, update designs for continuous production, and utilize drafting resources to create new tools that enhance efficiency. Produce drawings based on customer, company, and vendor specifications while adhering to corporate standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in drafting design
- 1 to 3 years of drafting experience
- 1-3 years related experience
- knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Proficiency in drafting and design, particularly with sheet metal products
- Ability to interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and architectural drawings
- Strong computer skills, including SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software, AutoCAD, Word, Excel, and email
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and results-oriented mindset
- Mechanical and technical expertise
- Ability to follow directions and maintain a focus on results while ensuring attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of drafting experience preferred
- Experience with analytical and CAD software including SolidWorks preferred
- HVAC industry experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- MRP experience is preferred
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt
