Job Summary
CAD Designer to prepare technical drawings, plans, and diagrams using CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks) from sketches and specifications for construction projects. Duties include collaborating with engineers/architects, revising drawings per feedback, maintaining records and version control, supporting 3D modeling/rendering, ensuring compliance with codes and standards, and conducting site visits as needed. Requires a diploma/certificate in drafting or CAD technology, proven CAD experience, BIM familiarity, strong attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively, and availability for a largely in-office role with some remote capability. Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm; some remote work; travel <10%. Training provided.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a CAD Designer or CAD technician in the general construction industry
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and construction methods
- Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
