CAD Designer / Drafter

Job Summary
CAD Designer/Drafter responsible for creating 3D models of new/modified sheet metal designs for inclusion in documentation for design engineering purposes; verify drawing packages for proper layout and dimensioning; review sales order documentation and support one or more product lines; participate in design teams with engineers and other departments; interface with manufacturing as required for completing design work; duties may include building prototypes for new engineering designs; complete Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and manage technical documentation databases; strong emphasis on collaboration, accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from 2-year College or Technical School
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Proficient in Solid Edge or equivalent 3D modeling program
- General knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly preferably with sheet metal
- On-site role based in Chicago, IL
