Job Summary
Detail-oriented CAD Designer/Drafter responsible for converting 2D part drawings into accurate 3D models for sheet metal designs, creating 3D models for Design Engineering purposes, checking drawing packages for proper layout and tolerancing, supporting fabrication and engineering teams, applying welding symbols and tolerances, and assisting with ECNs and documentation. Duties may include prototype construction and collaboration across design, manufacturing, and sales documentation teams.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from 2-year College or Technical School
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
- Working knowledge of MS Office products
- Proficient in the use of 3D modeling program (Solid Edge a big plus)
- General knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly with sheet metal
