Job Summary
CAD Data Exchange Engineer responsible for end-to-end CAD data exchange between BBM and external customers (OEM, Tier1). Daily execution of CAD data exchange orders—Export to OEM; Import from OEM. 3D Model Simplification; Multi-CAD data conversion using various tools. Adaptation of CAD/PDM data to OEM requirements (drawing layout, drawing standards, assembly structure, metadata, attributes). Healing of 3D CAD data to required quality. Further development of processes/methods for CAD data exchange with customers; automation of processes/sub-processes if possible. Documentation of learnings and best practices; sharing knowledge with stakeholders (team, key-users, global network). CAD tools: UG-NX, Catia V5, Creo.
