Job Summary
Conduct monthly close activities including posting journal entries, preparing reconciliations, and analyzing cost roll transactions for the Bossier facility. Execute daily journal entries to correct cost roll items, calculate inventory obsolescence provisions, and monitor absorption. Analyze monthly financials to prepare commentary on variances, gross margins, and inventory reports, while ensuring manufacturing costs remain up to date. Reconcile accounts related to Cost of Goods sold and inventory, and provide documentation for external and internal audits. Comply with safety, health, and environmental requirements, and assist with special projects as assigned. This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a CPA or CMA preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university
- One to two years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in handling general accounting responsibilities in manufacturing
- Intermediate computer skills
- Intermediate language skills
- Advanced mathematical skills
- Advanced reasoning skills
- Must be able to work overtime when needed during month-end closings, quarter and year-end reporting, audit and for special projects
- 5 days in office
- This position may require working in potentially hazardous environments if you are traveling to a branch or plant location
- Ensure that you follow all safety guidelines that are required when working in the field, branch or manufacturing facility
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
