Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer for Cactus Wellhead in Houston, TX. Responsible for product design and development to comply with customer requirements and established industry and company standards and performance requirements. Essential duties include interpreting customer requirements and applying engineering principles to design and documentation, evaluating existing and new products to meet market/company requirements, developing/reviewing designs, drawings, specifications, and test reports, ensuring product quality through testing methods, assisting and responding to NCRs/SDRs/ECNs, investigating field failures and recommending corrective actions, writing department specifications, and providing progress reports to senior management. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or 3-5+ years related experience).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience (3-5+ years)
- 7 to 9 years of industry experience (senior level)
- Wellhead experience preferred
- Drilling and completions experience preferred
- Knowledge of ANSI, ASME, ISO drafting techniques and Geometric Tolerance; API/ISO product requirements; basic stress analysis; design documentation; product design; and Finite Element Analysis
