Job Summary
Wash incoming used equipment, assist mechanics with minor repairs, and complete post-job equipment inspections. Move equipment from the Red Tag area to the work zone and organize service Return and Ready areas. Maintain clean, organized service spaces while performing other regular duties as assigned. Complete tasks given by mechanics in a timely manner and adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental policies. Finish the Short Service Employee (SSE) program to familiarize yourself with Cactus requirements. This role supports the field maintenance team in an industrial environment requiring extended standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in extreme weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 0-2 years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and understand detailed instruction drawings and specifications on wellhead equipment and valves
- Knowledge of good document control and process flow
- Knowledge of how parts are assembled tested and painted and the tools and equipment used to accomplish it
- Knowledge of Quality System
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
- Must be able to work in confined spaces when required
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment and power tools
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to work in loud noise levels requiring hearing protection
- Must be able to work in high places and confined spaces
- Must be able to work around moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Must be able to participate in regular safety training
- Must be able to complete required safety certifications
- Must be able to comply with all environmental regulations
- Must be able to complete Short Service Employee (SSE) program for the position
- Must be able to travel to remote locations
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to complete pre-employment drug screening
- Must be able to undergo background checks
- Must be able to undergo medical examinations
