Cactus Wellhead - Field Service Technician

Job Summary
Conduct field service activities including installation, testing, servicing, and repairing wellhead equipment while maintaining customer bases through timely and competent work. Inspect equipment condition, perform dry fits, and communicate findings to customers. Install and test equipment per operating procedures, service as requested, and repair field malfunctions. Maintain service vehicles, track tolls, and report required repairs to the Branch Manager. Prepare field service orders, rental tickets, and customer documents accurately. Identify and ensure appropriate tools, backup equipment, and parts are available for service jobs. Provide feedback on field problems and failures for Field Complaint Reports. Adhere to all safety policies, wear required PPE, and comply with environmental regulations in an industrial environment involving heavy machinery, hazardous materials, and extreme weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-3 years related experience and/or training
- Customer required training
- Certified in H2S
- Certified in SafeLand
- Certified in DOT when driving vehicles greater than 10,001 GVWR
- Working knowledge of Cactus Wellhead Product
- Working knowledge of Customer Service Best Practices
- Working knowledge of Service Documentation and Record Keeping
- Working knowledge of Wellhead and Valve Equipment Compatibility
- Working knowledge of Wellhead and Valve Installation
- Working knowledge of Wellhead and Valve Operation
- Working knowledge of Wellhead and Valve Maintenance
- Working knowledge of Field Equipment Repair
- Working knowledge of Equipment Troubleshooting of Cactus Wellhead and other OEM Equipment
- Intermediate Computer, Language, and Mathematical Skills
- Intermediate Reasoning Ability
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 12 hours per shift)
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
- Must be able to work in confined spaces when required
- Must be able to operate heavy equipment and power tools
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to work in loud noise levels requiring hearing protection
- Must be able to work in high places and confined spaces
- Must be able to work around moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to work in hot and cold temperatures
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to follow all safety protocols and procedures
- Must be able to participate in regular safety training
- Must be able to complete required safety certifications
- Must be able to comply with all environmental regulations
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Must be able to pass background checks
- Must be able to pass medical examinations
