Job Summary
Obtain correct HS classification for customs release, verify tariff treatment, enter shipment data into the system, and ensure release of shipments for FedEx Trade Networks Canada. Responsibilities include data-entry to Release on Minimum Documentation, setting up entries on ACROSS, updating 1Source and FXG Hit lists, generating CADEX reports and addressing CADEX rejects, coordinating with CFIA and other government departments, and communicating shipment status to clients. Requires high school diploma with 2 years of college and at least five years of release- or customs-related experience; proficient in MS Office/Outlook and AS/400 knowledge is a plus; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 2 years of College
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Release Analyst with a Certified Customs Specialist Designation
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, office equipment
- Knowledge of the AS 400 system would be an asset
