Job Summary
Provide exceptional customer service to members of the Armed Forces, family members, civilians, and contractors by assisting with eligibility requirements and processing applications. Perform all functions required to issue ID cards, ID tags, Geneva Convention cards, and Teslin cards, including the review, research, and verification of source documents with a 100 percent degree of accuracy. Take appointments via telephone or email, manage the centralized scheduler, and update the online calendar daily. Manage the accountability and control of military ID cards and CACs for active component, National Guard, Reserve, retirees, and dependents. Reconcile DEERS information, update systems within one hour of approval, and resolve discrepancies within two business days. Must be a US Citizen, speak and read English, and become certified as a Verifying Official.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English
- Ability to read and understand printed regulations, detailed written orders, operating procedures, training instructions and materials
- Must undergo a pre-employment criminal background check
- Must undergo a favorable fingerprint check prior to operating or having access to DEERS/RAPIDS equipment
- Must become certified as a Verifying Official
