Job Summary
Install Category 5e/6 low voltage cabling, fiber cabling with terminations, and access control or surveillance systems while performing repairs and testing using Fluke equipment. Apply OSHA safety requirements and utilize service management applications like ConnectWise or Autotask to manage projects. Maintain excellent customer service skills and handle high-stress situations with reliable transportation and a Florida driver's license. Requires 1-2 years of low voltage cabling experience, proficiency in Office applications, and problem-solving abilities. High school education required; technical training or BICSI certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of installing low voltage Cat 5e/6 cabling and terminations
- familiarity or proficiency with installing fiber
- Proficient with Office applications such as email, Word, Excel, etc.
- Proficient with use of service management applications like ConnectWise or Autotask
- Proficient with written and verbal communications skills
- Reliable transportation
- Florida driver's license with clean record
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must have some of the basic tools required for this line of work
- must have knowledge and/or training of OSHA and other safety requirements
- must have appropriate clothing for job-site work
- High school education
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience working with access control and/or surveillance
- Current or past enrollment in technical school or program
- Proficient at problem solving
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and multiple tasks/projects
- Fluent written/spoken English
- Spanish
- experience working with Fluke Versa testers or Greenlee Fusion splicers
- Technical training
- BICSI or other certifications
