Job Summary
Lead Installer for AMS.NET’s Cabling Department in Anaheim, responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining voice, security, and/or data cabling for projects. Serves as coach to installers, maintains relationships with customers, prepares reports, adheres to safety policies, manages projects to meet timelines and budgets, and coordinates with Cabling Operations Manager and PMs to communicate status. Requires strong problem-solving, communication, and technical skills in low voltage wiring, network standards, and hazardous materials handling; prior lead installer experience with large crews is a plus; California Electrical License required; travel expenses are covered.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college work preferred
- 5 yrs work experience in Telcom or other technical field
- Lead installer experience of 5 plus crews
- California State Electrical License (please include license number) required and/or equivalent work experience
- Manufacturer certifications as appropriate
- Registered Certified Distribution Designer (RCDD) preferred
- Pre-employment background check
- Valid California driver’s license
- Good driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladder
- Ability to work in confined spaces
