Job Summary
Cable Technician will install, route, and terminate various types of cables (fiber optic, coaxial, Ethernet) in commercial and industrial settings, often working under a Foreman or Project Manager. Responsibilities include cable installation and termination to project specifications, preparing work areas, operating testing equipment, ensuring safety and quality, maintaining documentation of routes and test results, and collaborating with team members to resolve installation issues. Proficiency with fiber optic splicing, copper crimping, testing gear (OTDRs, testers, certifiers), and adherence to PPE and safety protocols are essential; required certifications and a valid driver’s license add value.
