Job Summary
Conduct material handling and jobsite preparation, ensuring ladder and PPE safety compliance. Pull copper and fiber cabling, install J-hooks and cable support pathways, and perform basic copper terminations. Complete cable labeling, documentation, simple device and faceplate installations, and basic testing and quality control activities. Read floor plans and work orders while utilizing punch down tools, toner and probe equipment, and other specified hand and power tools. Maintain a valid driver's license and own required tool set within 60 days of employment. Work in inclement weather and high, precarious places while performing heavy manual tasks involving lifting up to 100 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Have vehicle in good working condition
- Must have working mobile phone
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Must have their own tools with in 60 day of employment: Phillips Screwdriver Set (#1, #2, & #3), Flathead Screwdriver Set (small, medium, & large), Tape Measure, Sheetrock Saw (Key hole saw), Punch Tool w/110 & 66 blade, Snips, Toner & Wand (Progressive Electronics 200EP or similar), Kleins (linemen pliers) or Side Cutters, Crescent Wrench Set (small & medium), Socket Set (3/8 drive ranging from ¼" to ¾"), Open End/Box End Wrench Set (ranging from ¼" to ¾"), Torpedo Level, Hammer-Touch La...
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with network cables (Cat5, Cat6, etc.)
- Experience with the following tools: Punch down tools, Cable snips/cutters, Labeling equipment, Drills and basic power tools, Toner and probe equipment
