Job Summary
As a Field Technician at Spectrum, you will install and repair services, educate customers on usage, and support a long-term career path. This entry-level role offers hands-on training and a clear self-progression plan—from Field Technician I to IV—with 10% increases at each progression and bonus payments for coursework. You’ll work outdoors in varied environments, solve technical challenges, and build relationships with customers and colleagues while earning $20.50/hour from day one (with potential increases). The position emphasizes safety, travel to customer locations, use of hand tools, and the opportunity to pursue industry-recognized certifications; a valid driver’s license and English fluency are required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Schedule: Ability to travel to and from assigned customer premises, company facilities and other locations as necessary
- Language: Fluent in English
- Technical skills: Proficiency in using computers and software applications. Competent in using hand tools
- Abilities: Effective communication, professionalism, time management, organization, critical thinking, responsibility and reliability
- Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record within company standards required
- Physical: Walk over various terrains and weather conditions while carrying tools and equipment. safely use weight-bearing equipment (up to 345 lbs) and lift up to 75 lbs. climb ladders up to 32 feet and work in confined spaces and at heights. Operate and navigate a company vehicle, Work outdoors for extended periods in any season and inclement weather
