Job Summary
Lead crew in the construction, maintenance and repair of underground electrical distribution systems. Perform pre-job briefings, inspect crew work, promote safety at all times, and work with energized and de-energized underground systems. Capable of operating a backhoe and company equipment, identifying voltage, understanding grounding procedures, phasing, PPE, confined spaces, and underground infrastructure. Must be able to travel, perform rigorous physical labor, and adhere to safety rules; CDL permit within 60 days and CDL preferred. EOЕ/Minorities/Females/Vet/Disabled. Location: Reidsville, GA (US).
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 year minimum of experience is required
- Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment
- A valid Commercial Driver’s License is preferred
- Capable of operating a backhoe
- Capable of safely operating and maintaining company equipment
- Capable of identifying underground utility locates
- Must possess knowledge of tools for terminating cable
- Must possess knowledge of underground distribution
- Must possess knowledge of all aspects of underground distribution
- Must possess knowledge of underground switching procedures
- Must understand flag and tag procedures
- Able to perform rigorous physical labor
- Able to travel long distances on short notice
- Able to work outside in inclement weather
- Able to use hand tools on a continuous basis
- Willing to work overtime and weekends/holidays as required
- Capable of lifting in excess of 50 lbs
