Cable Service Technician

Job Summary
Technician installs and services cable systems (video, internet, and related equipment) and performs troubleshooting for customers. The role requires local travel 100% of the time, in-person work, completion of installations and related paperwork, equipment management, and adherence to safety rules. Candidates should possess strong technical and customer-service skills, be able to read operating procedures, and maintain tools and vehicles while coordinating with Dispatch on arrivals and delays. Ongoing training and certification are required to remain active.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED preferred
- Be at least 21 years old
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Minimum of three (3) years of driving history
- Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record with no major violations
- Pass a comprehensive criminal background check (felony disqualifications; misdemeanors reviewed)
- Technical development training/certification required to remain active
- Fluency in English (speaking and understanding) required
- Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and procedures
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders up to 28 ft., and work in varied conditions
- In-person work with local travel 100% of the time
- Drug screenings required (pre-employment, post-accident, random)
Additional Requirements
- Criminal background check mandatory; disqualifications for certain offenses within past seven years
- Must maintain valid MVR with driving-history standards
- Must be able to work in customers' homes and businesses
- No relocation offered
