Job Summary
Set up and prepare cable machines by adjusting tension, speed, and settings based on specifications. Cut and spool various cable sizes, track footage on reels, and update lot cards. Inspect cable during spooling to identify defects and ensure quality standards. Package finished product with straps and skids, then pick and store cable using a forklift. Adhere to production schedules and follow all safety protocols to maintain a clean environment. 1st Shift (1 opening): Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-4:15PM, Friday 7:00AM-12:00PM. 2nd Shift (4 openings): Monday-Thursday 4:30PM-3:00AM. Pay: $21.00-23.00/hr. Forklift and walkie licenses are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift and walkie license mandatory
- Basic mathematical skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Time management
- Strong communication skills
- Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-4:15PM, Friday 7:00AM-12:00PM
- Monday-Thursday 4:30PM-3:00AM
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a metal fabrication environment preferred
