Job Summary
Cable Jointer for Ausgrid performing inspection, installation and maintenance of underground network assets near live electrical apparatus; focus on safety, reliability, sustainability and affordability of the network, with responsibilities including preparing work sites, liaising with internal/external stakeholders, resolving customer issues, interpreting technical documentation, and contributing to emergency restoration; requires Cert III in ESI Power Systems (or equivalent), Electrical Safety Rules accreditation, HRWL licences, and proven line-work experience; shifts are Monday to Friday, 15:00–23:30 (CAW), based at Artarmon Depot and related Sydney locations; benefits include competitive salary with super and loading, career development and flexible leave options.
Required Qualifications
- Cert III in ESI Power Systems (or equivalent)
- Proven electrical trade experience in electricity distribution or related industry including line work
- Class MR Drivers Licence
- Electrical Safety Rules accreditation
- High Risk Work Licences (HRWL) – multiple such as Elevated Work Platform and Dogging
- WH&S WorkCover – General Induction
- Asbestos awareness and experience working safely with asbestos materials related to line work
- Demonstrated experience in safe manual handling techniques
- Basic skills in computers and mobile devices
- Demonstrated experience in effectively communicating with others
