Job Summary
Field Technician at Spectrum installs and repairs services, educates customers on usage, and works outdoors in dynamic environments. Entry-level with training and a self-progression plan that offers advancement from Technician I to IV, potential certifications, and opportunities to move into leadership roles. Requires problem-solving, customer service, effective communication, reliability, safe driving, and ability to lift heavy tools; primary duties include hands-on installation, repair, and on-site customer support, with travel to customer premises.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record within company standards
- Technical skills: Proficiency in using computers and software applications. Competent in using hand tools
- Language: Fluent in English
- Ability to travel to and from assigned customer premises, company facilities and other locations as necessary
- Walk over various terrains and weather conditions while carrying tools and equipment. Safely use weight-bearing equipment (up to 345 lbs) and lift up to 75 lbs. Climb ladders up to 32 feet and work in confined spaces and at heights. Operate and navigate a company vehicle in changing environments
- Physical: Work outdoors for extended periods in any season and inclement weather
- Communication, professionalism, time management, organization, critical thinking, responsibility and reliability
