Job Summary
Field Technician at Spectrum responsible for installing and repairing services, educating customers on usage, and progressing through a self-driven career path. Entry-level, outdoors-focused role emphasizing problem-solving, customer relationships, and safety with on-the-job training and opportunities to advance to higher technician levels and leadership roles. Must be able to travel to customer locations, work with hand tools and standard software, and maintain a valid driver’s license. The position offers a pathway to increased earnings through a self-progression program and potential certifications, with a pay rate of $20.50/hour from day one and growth opportunities through progression levels.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Schedule: Ability to travel to and from assigned customer premises, company facilities and other locations as necessary
- Language: Fluent in English
- Technical skills: Proficiency in using computers and software applications. Competent in using hand tools
- Abilities: Effective communication, professionalism, time management, organization, critical thinking, responsibility and reliability
- Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record within company standards
- Physical: Lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders up to 32 feet, operate a company vehicle, work outdoors in various conditions
