Job Summary
Security alarm rough-in technician responsible for foundational low-voltage work in residential and commercial new builds: run, route, and terminate cables (Cat5e/Cat6, coax, alarm wire); mount control panels, motion detectors, keypads, door contacts, and camera mounts; perform continuity testing; uphold safety and organization on-site. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in low-voltage wiring/security systems or electrical/construction rough-ins; training provided if no prior experience. Must be proficient with hand and power tools and have a valid driver’s license to travel to job sites in the Metro Detroit area.
