Job Summary
Install and repair broadband services while educating customers on their use, utilizing hand tools and navigating various terrains in inclement weather. Operate company vehicles, climb ladders up to 32 feet, and work in confined spaces at heights. Travel to customer premises and facilities as necessary, maintaining a valid driver's license and safe driving record. Solve complex technical issues and build relationships with colleagues and customers. This entry-level Field Technician role offers immediate progression from Technician I to IV with 10% pay increases per level, plus bonuses for completing coursework and industry-recognized certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned customer premises, company facilities and other locations as necessary
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in using computers and software applications
- Competent in using hand tools
- Valid Driver's license with safe driving record within company standards
- Walk over various terrains and weather conditions while carrying tools and equipment
- Safely use weight-bearing equipment (up to 345 lbs) and lift up to 75 lbs
- Climb ladders up to 32 feet and work in confined spaces and at heights
- Operate and navigate a company vehicle in changing environments
