Job Summary
Field Technician at Spectrum responsible for installing and repairing services, educating customers, and solving technical challenges in outdoor environments. Entry-level role with on-the-job training and a self-progression plan to advance from Field Technician I to IV with 10% increases per level and potential certifications. Daily activities include working outdoors, using hand tools and company vehicles, traveling to customer premises, and delivering reliable connectivity while building relationships with customers and colleagues. Requires strong English communication, a valid driver’s license, and physical ability to lift and maneuver tools and equipment in diverse conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Valid Driver’s license with safe driving record within company standards required
- Ability to travel to and from assigned customer premises and locations
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in using computers and software applications
- Competent in using hand tools
- Effective communication, professionalism, time management, organization, critical thinking, responsibility and reliability
- Physical ability to walk over varied terrains, lift up to 75 lbs, climb ladders up to 32 feet, work outdoors in various conditions
