Cable Installation Technician

Job Summary
Technician installs and services cable systems (video, HSI, CDV, HSD), troubleshoots issues, and educates customers. Role involves local travel 100% of the time with in-person work only. Responsibilities include completing installations per standards, submitting daily reports, returning equipment, maintaining tools/vehicles, coordinating with Dispatch, and adhering to safety/OSHA rules. Technical training/certification is required to maintain active employment. Requires strong customer service, clear communication, and ability to work independently in various environments.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED preferred
- Be at least 21 years old
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Have a minimum of three (3) years of driving history
- Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Criminal background check required; felonies disqualifying, past seven years scrutinized for certain offenses
- Pre-employment, post-accident and random drug screenings mandatory
- Must be local to commute daily
- Ability to pass safety rules and OSHA standards
- Technical proficiency in installing and troubleshooting cable systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to read operating procedures and perform tests
- Basic math, computer, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot CATV technical difficulties
- Ability to work independently and manage time
- Readiness to travel locally as needed
