Cable Installation Technician

Job Summary
Technicians install and service cable systems (residential/commercial video, HSI, CDV, HSD), troubleshoot issues, complete installations per standards, and handle daily reports and equipment returns. Requires local travel 100% of the time, in-person work, and adherence to safety rules. Responsibilities include safety, customer communication, tool/vehicle maintenance, and ongoing training/certification. Must have a High School diploma or GED preferred, a valid driver’s license, 3+ years driving history, and pass a comprehensive background check.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum of three (3) years of driving history
- Maintain an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations
- Pass a comprehensive criminal background check; felonies will result in disqualification; misdemeanors evaluated individually; offenses within past seven (7) years may disqualify for certain offenses
- Ability to read and interpret operating instructions and procedures
- Basic math, computer, and troubleshooting skills
- Fluency in English (speaking and understanding)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Have the physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs., climb ladders
- Vehicle will be used in daily operations
- Excellent customer service and attention to detail
Additional Requirements
- Felony convictions disqualify; specific offenses within past seven years may lead to disqualification
- Must pass background check for sensitive work inside customers’ homes and businesses
