Job Summary
Prepare layouts, assembly and detail drawings for fiber optic cable assemblies; update drawings per customer’s requests (As-built and Engineering Change Notices); develop detailed section views for connector/component assemblies and cable transitions; verify cable assembly parts in ERP; route and obtain sign-off for final release; ensure cycle times are met or improved; provide assembly instructions for connector/component assemblies and transitions; interpret engineering drawings and blueprints; collaborate with Sales, engineering, and manufacturing; proficient in AutoCAD/Visio and Solidworks (or equivalent) and MS Office; ability to read, write, and speak English; U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required to satisfy ITAR.
Required Qualifications
- One to two years’ college or trade school education in engineering drawing/CAD design
- Minimum five (5) years’ on-the-job experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for formal training.
