Job Summary
Coach and train new assemblers while reading wire diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to assemble wires into harness systems. Use automatic and handheld strippers, solder connections, and measure finished assemblies for quality. Wrap and tie wires at designated points and assemble electrical components per supervisor assignments. Requirements include a high school diploma, one year of cable assembly experience, and the ability to lift 35 pounds. This role is located at Amphenol Borisch Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI, offering full-time employment with every other Friday off, comprehensive medical and dental insurance, and a 401(k) match.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year's experience cable and wire assemblies
- Must be able to regularly sit, stand and walk
- Must be able to pass a Vision exam to inspect work at a close distance
- Must be able to read and understand wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics
- Must be able to accurately use measuring tools and do basic math
- Must be able to effectively use all tools required for wire harness assembly
- Must have keen attention to detail and quality
- Must be able to bend, stoop and reach
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds
