Job Summary
Fabricate and assemble aircraft interior components such as cabinets, galleys, lavatories, and wardrobes during refurbishment. Work with wood components, high-grade veneers, composite materials, and other lightweight materials using various woodworking equipment. Read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings to ensure accurate measurements and fabrication. Perform repetitive, hands-on tasks requiring sustained physical effort and manual dexterity, including lifting up to 40 lbs and working in confined spaces. Wear protective equipment for extended periods while navigating temperature variations, fumes, and moving machinery.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of prior woodworking experience
- Comfortable using different types of woodworking equipment
- Strong mathematical knowledge and the ability to make accurate measurements
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering drawings is required
Desired Qualifications
- Additional trade certifications or education in woodworking, woodwork manufacturing or millwork preferred
