Job Summary
Fabricate complex, high-quality cabinets and wood-surfaced subassemblies for aircraft interiors, interpreting material specifications and engineering drawings to meet design requirements. Provide guidance and training to co-workers, mentor lesser-skilled technicians, and assist in leading projects. Collaborate with supervision and Lead to ensure safety, quality, and process improvements using Lean Six-Sigma methods. Maintain documentation through material-tracking systems, perform safety audits, and coordinate with other backshops as needed. Requires strong cabinetmaking expertise, ability to read engineering designs, and effective communication in English. Location: St. Louis; shift: First; employment: Full-time.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 4 years of cabinetmaking experience
- Experience in aerospace industry preferred
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be computer literate
- Advanced knowledge of cabinetmaking processes
- Working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications preferred
