Job Summary
Assemble speaker cabinets, metal enclosures, and related components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and production specifications. Operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic equipment, and other manufacturing equipment safely while installing hardware, insulation, acoustic materials, and wiring components. Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process to verify dimensions, fit, and finish using measuring tools, ensuring products meet company and customer specifications. Maintain accurate production records, report material defects or equipment issues, and follow Lean Manufacturing principles to support continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures cabinets are built according to engineering specifications, quality standards, and production schedules while maintaining a safe and organized work environment in Ennis, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and basic blueprints
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Repetitive use of hands and arms while assembling products
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of manufacturing, assembly, woodworking, sheet metal fabrication, or related experience preferred
- Experience assembling speaker cabinets, audio equipment, or metal enclosures
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or 5S principles
- Experience using production documentation or ERP systems
- Knowledge of quality inspection processes and manufacturing best practices
