Job Summary
Solicit residential mortgages from various sources and produce high-quality, compliant loans while delivering excellent customer service. Build relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, bank stores, and past customers to develop marketplace visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. Analyze low to moderately complex financial and credit data to match customer needs with appropriate loan programs, offering recommendations and exercising independent judgment within functional policies. Receive applications, quote rates, and complete follow-up activities including registration lock-ins, while maintaining high standards of client satisfaction through timely communication. Pursue ongoing training to deepen knowledge of company products, underwriting requirements, and compliance regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education
- SAFE registration at the time of employment
- Ability to lift 20+ pounds
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed or scheduled
Desired Qualifications
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over the past 12 months referred primarily from established, local, external sources
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Mortgage industry experience
- Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals
- Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
- Customer service experience
