Job Summary
As a Medical Case Manager, you will provide in-person and telephonic medical case management for injured workers, collaborating closely with patients, physicians, and healthcare providers to facilitate recovery. Key responsibilities include assessing treatment plans, evaluating patient progress, coordinating care, and conducting home visits. Effective communication skills, nursing expertise, and the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment are essential. This position involves significant local travel and may require overnight travel. Ideal candidates will have a nursing background and strong organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN Licensure in state of operation
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing
- Experience as an RN Medical Case Manager is ideal, or a clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation is preferred
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Cost containment background, such as utilization review or managed care
- Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other Case Management certifications
