Job Summary
Lead site visits to discover energy savings opportunities in commercial and industrial sites, collect information onsite for calculations, and present actionable measures for customer implementation. Calculate and report energy, demand savings, and greenhouse gas emission reductions consistent with the California SEM M&V Guide. Develop and deliver energy efficiency and integrated demand side management solutions for the Strategic Energy Management Commercial and Industrial Programs, including writing technical documents and conducting quality reviews of content. Provide project oversight, perform Building Automation System reviews, and apply IPMVP options for measurement and verification. Collaborate within multi-disciplinary teams to support energy efficiency programs, resolve client challenges, and champion innovative solutions that advance the industry. This role requires a BS in Engineering, 8-10+ years of experience, and a PE license, with travel throughout California.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Engineering (mechanical or electrical engineering)
- 8-10+ years of applicable experience in energy efficiency consulting, program implementation, or consulting engineering
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located without the need for employer sponsorship or support
- Must be able to travel throughout California
- Must be able to work sites within driving distance
Desired Qualifications
- BS in Engineering (mechanical or electrical engineering) preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Measurement and verification certification
- Field experience in independently conducting energy audits and verification inspections
- BAS and/or RCx experience
- Industry knowledge of Strategic Energy Management preferred
- Candidates located in either the Bay area or the Los Angeles area in California
- Occasional overnight stays may be necessary
