Job Summary
Lead the Long Beach location in ensuring an environmentally sound, healthy, and safe workplace by maintaining compliance with environmental and safety laws and verifying standards against ISO 14001 and HEXPOL's Management System. Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards, communicate with regulatory agencies, and investigate incidents to implement corrective actions. Promote safety initiatives through new hire orientation, monthly training topics, and moderating the safety committee meetings. Bilingual in English/Spanish, this role requires five years of industrial EHS experience, familiarity with EPA regulations, and the ability to travel locally.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be bilingual in English/Spanish
- Five (5) years of environmental, health and safety experience for an industrial company
- Two (2) years of working with EPA regulations
- Working knowledge of EPA, DOT, and OSHA Regulations
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety, Emergency Management, or related degree
