Job Summary
Join Octapharma Plasma as a Donor Center Technician I responsible for maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring donor comfort and safety during the collection process. You will perform vital evaluations, manage equipment and supplies, handle blood and plasma products, and maintain thorough record-keeping. The role requires a high school diploma, basic computer proficiency, and strong communication skills, as well as the ability to lift up to thirty-five pounds and work in various physical conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Basic computer knowledge and skills required
- Strong customer service skills required
- Strong organizational skills required
- Ability to read, follow, and interpret regulations, instructions and manuals required
- Effective communication skills required
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required
- Ability to understand verbal instruction required
- Ability to read numbers on screening equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations required
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish speaking (preferred)
- Three months’ experience in clerical or customer service position (preferred)
- Specific certification or licensing based on State requirements
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts on a frequent basis
