Job Summary
Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing and returning them to appropriate locations on site. Install or remove signage, railings, or various hardware. Operate hand or power tools as required, and if certified, operate heavy equipment. Assist in erecting or dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, shoring, braces, or other temporary structures. Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Follow all safety regulations and ensure proper PPE is worn. Work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, traveling between sites, lifting up to 50 lbs independently and more with assistance. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. High school diploma or GED required with at least six months of commercial or industrial construction laborer experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 6 months experience working as a commercial or industrial construction laborer
- Experience operating required hand and power tools
- Ability to communicate effectively & professionally with customers and co-workers
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a field environment
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to frequently stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movement
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs without assistance
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull greater than 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to operate assigned equipment and vehicles
- Ability to verbally communicate to exchange information
- Must be able to work well with others
- Must be able to follow directions when given
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be on task
- Must follow all safety protocols at all times
- Must follow all safety regulations
- Must ensure proper PPE is worn
- Must be able to travel from site to site
- Must be able to work in an outdoor setting with exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions
