Job Summary
Network Technician role under NRA Section Head to perform duties including resolving tickets per SLAs, ensuring data quality and integrity, registering and publishing names, addresses and metadata to support NATO networks, and managing lifecycle of data through extraction, deduplication, matching, fusion, and master data generation. Responsibilities include assigning and registering addressing and enterprise names to infrastructure designs, assisting project teams with integrating names/addresses into NRA repositories, automating configuration data for NATO, partners and Federation Mission Network affiliates, and automating network telemetry collection and ingestion; expects experience with IPAM, DNS, and routing protocols, and NATO security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Currently active NATO SECRET security clearance
- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Network Technician, DDI or IP address management (IPAM) role
- Familiarity with network automation or other coding languages
- Competence with subnetting in both IPv4 and IPv6 environments
- Practical experience in DNS, IP and routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, ISIS, BGP etc)
- Evaluating and processing change requests
- Auditing network device configurations against registered baselines
- Desirable: IP address management for military networks
- Experience supporting NATO operations and exercises
- Completion of RIPE NCC's LIR Training Course
- Experience using IPAM DB
- Experience with NCIA's service request processes
- Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT
