Job Summary
Performs computerized tomography scans and specialized procedures including biopsies, aspirations and drainages. Maintains radiation protection per standards; prepares patients for CT procedures; communicates with radiologist to contribute to plan of care; obtains patient consent as needed; ensures optimum CT image quality and proper contrast administration (IV/intravenous contrast); monitors injections and uses CT injector; participates in quality control and documentation in the EMR; maintains cleanliness of CT Department and equipment; performs other duties as assigned or in emergencies; demonstrates compassionate, patient-centered service and supports nursing/physician teams. Offers Day ONE benefits and sign-on bonus up to $20,000.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy or Nuclear Medicine
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with a Post Primary certification in Computed Tomography
- Possess a South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association license
