Job Summary
Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the convenience store, fueling areas, sidewalks, parking lots, and other exterior areas by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning restrooms, windows, and glass surfaces. Stock beverage coolers, merchandise displays, and inventory; receive, unload, and organize freight deliveries while keeping stockrooms organized. Empty trash receptacles, replenish cleaning supplies, and report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly. Provide friendly assistance to guests and direct concerns to management. Perform other duties as assigned. Valid state-issued Food Handler Card/Certification required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require
- Valid state-issued Food Handler Card/Certification required, or the ability to obtain one within the required timeframe
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, squat, reach, twist, and climb
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 45 pounds
- Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to understand safety procedures, operating instructions, and company policies
- Ability to communicate professionally with guests, vendors, and fellow team members
- Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment while carrying out written and verbal instructions
- Ability to recognize and resolve routine operational issues while maintaining company standards
- Ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous janitorial, porter, custodial, housekeeping, or convenience store experience preferred but not required
- Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and reliability
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to remain professional and productive in a fast-paced environment
