C-Store Assistant Store Manager Trainee - 447

The Assistant Manager Trainee is responsible for establishing and maintaining Customer Service and is accountable for the operation of the c-store including gas pumps, ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, employee management, and managing operating costs and shrink. Responsibilities include ensuring outstanding customer service, controlling shrink and expenses, scheduling employees, maintaining stock levels and perishables, ensuring compliance with policies and certifications, handling money and POS operations, upholding Terrible Herbst Operational Excellence Programs, preparing Daily Activity Reports and fuel surveys, addressing employee performance, covering shifts, and traveling to other district locations to support staffing; must be available to work any shift and be on-call to cover sick calls. The role emphasizes customer service, inventory/merchandise management, staff training and compliance, shift coverage, and cross-location support. The job expects ability to communicate effectively, operate in a busy environment, and maintain high integrity and discretion.
