Job Summary
Build a full technology stack supporting power and gas trading, including exchange connectivity, trading systems, strategies, data analysis, and pricing. Maintain and improve the tech stack in collaboration with traders while training new joiners. Take ownership of greenfield projects to develop code that hits production immediately to drive trading decisions. Collaborate directly with traders and quants to develop winning strategies within a fast-paced start-up environment.
Required Qualifications
- Strong academic background, preferably in computer science or a quantitative field
- 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Strong programming skills in C++ or comparable (eg. Rust)
- Fluency in English
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with other relevant programming languages such as Python or Java
- Experience in European energy trading industry
