Job Summary
Software engineer II for RTX Battle Management Software, focusing on aircraft embedded software; collaborate with software and systems engineers to support development, testing, and full software lifecycle across DoD/military and commercial programs. Responsibilities include solving complex technical system and software integration problems, contributing to design and implementation with C++, C#, Python, and .NET in a Windows environment; apply OOP, DI/Ioc, and multithreading concepts; participate in CI/CD and DevOps practices; engage in requirements, design, development, integration, and testing activities within a multi-disciplined team; maintain security clearance eligibility and work in an onsite Indianapolis setting.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration and test
- Experience developing and testing software using C++, C#, Python, or closely related software languages
- Experience with using .NET libraries and frameworks
- Experience developing software in a Windows environment
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts such as understanding classes, inheritance, polymorphism and encapsulation
- Experience with implementing Dependency Injection (DI) and Inversion of Control (IoC) patterns
- Experience with concurrency and thread management
- Experience with Git for source code management
- Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with software systems design, integration and management
- Experience in utilizing software debugging tools
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. government issued Secret security clearance prior to the start date
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
